 Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

I currently accept Optum and United Health Care. If you aren’t covered by either, please know that some insurances offer partial reimbursement for therapists who are “out of network” once a superbill is submitted.

What are your fees?

For individual therapy sessions, it is $225, for couples, $300 (50-55 min. session - virtual or physical).

How do I know if a therapist will help me?

Here are some signs that may help you determine if seeing a therapist is the best option for you:

  • Everyday life seems like a struggle to go through, loss of interest in hobbies/daily activities

  • Not being able to do regular responsibilities (work, school, etc.) due to intrusive thoughts and feelings

  • A drastic change in sleep patterns or eating patterns that can be related to anxiety, stress, depression, etc.

  • Long-term troubles in your relationship that keep appearing constantly without signs of resolution

  • Unresolved childhood or adulthood traumas

  • In some cases, you may not be having any heavy mental health issues or conditions that you need to address. If you simply need someone out of your own inner circle to talk with or want to figure out solutions for certain situations in your life, you can contact me!

Even if you don’t understand or know what you may be going through, considering a therapist may assist you with discovering what you could be experiencing. At Space For Healing, we give you the safe space you need to dig deeper and heal through mental health blocks and issues.

Do you offer initial consultation service to see if we’ll be a good fit?

Yes, I do offer a free 15-minute consultation! You can contact me through email here or call me at 323.482.6091. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response.

Please note that this is for non-emergency situations and general questions about my therapy services. For emergencies, call 911 or the crisis line at 800-854-7771.

What are your qualifications?

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the prestigious HBCU, Spelman College (Atlanta, GA), and completed my graduate degree at UCLA. I have nearly 10 years of experience working at one of the most prominent mental health clinics in Los Angeles, and I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (9 month intensive course), Gestalt Couples Therapy, Intimate Partner Violence, Seeking Safety, and more.

Do you prescribe medication?

No, as a psychotherapist, I do not prescribe any medication.

Do you offer group therapy sessions?

No, not at this time.
